Tower Light trains all new employees in a hands-on setting by pairing them with experienced co workers under ComTrain guidelines. We also make sure that our employees are certified by the St. John's Ambulance to maximise workplace safety. This ensures that all of our employees are confident in a wide variety of tasks and projects. We provide our employees with the best equipment, training, and keep them well informed which enables us to guarantee our work.

  • LabourerOpen or Close
    Overview

    You must have a depth of knowledge and understanding that enables you to look at a task and determine what actions are to be taken next. All Labourers will develp the abiliy to recognize fall hazards, equipment hazards and to fully understand the importance of the reporting procedures.

    Job Functions
    • Ground construction of communication towers.
    • Perform work safely, efficiently, and within time constraints.
    • Effectively communicate with peers to help establish job requirements, steps to be taken, outline hazards and/or safety issues, concerns, etc.
    • Assemble equipment and tools required to each job.
    • Fully equip trucks and clean when required.
    Requirements
    • Knowledgeable of and adheres to policies and procedures
    Desirable Qualifications
    • Completion of assigned programs (First Aid, WHIMIS, etc.)

  • RiggerOpen or Close
    Overview

    Competent Riggers are usually full-time climbers, lead hands, supervisors, crew foremen, or safety representatives who erect communication towers. You must have a depth knowledge and understanding that enables you to look at a situation and take proper action with minimal direction. A Rigger has the ability to recognize fall hazards, equipment hazards, and the authority to mitigate those hazards.

    Job Functions
    • Ground and elevated construction of communication towers.
    • Perform work safely, efficiently, and within time constraints.
    • Effectively communicate with peers to help establish job requirements, steps to be taken, outline hazards and/or safety issues, concerns, etc.
    • Assemble equipment and tools required to each job.
    • Fully equip trucks and clean when required.
    Requirements
    • Willingness to travel, brave cold weather, and work overtime as required.
    • Must be mechanically inclined, particularly with steel work.
    • Able to work while secured to structures at an elevated position.
    Desirable Qualifications
    • Completion of assigned programs (First Aid, WHIMIS, etc.)
